well this was a pleasant surprise i ordered and paid for the standard and in the post today i received this beauty!

Let us know how you get on Andy ... I like the idea of added 'grit' but no room on my board (except for the recently acquired Duamknd comp) ... congrats !

I use mine on one of my guitar pedalboards:



However I did use it for an online Motown demo, through the preamp of a Streamliner.

Because there is a mahoosive circuit board inside. The audio circuit is all discrete components (i.e. no ICs) and is based on the Urei 1176, which was a biggish rack-mount unit. (The ICs you can see are there to drive the LED ladder.)



Having the knobs so big makes it much easier to set up accurately than, say, the MXR Bass Compressor.

Yeh it's quite the circuit board!!

I got the CaLi 76-G comp yesterday - its such a good sounding circuit and that germanium does add a really nice bit of filth. Very happy and looking forward to gigging it this Sunday.
