Lozz196
Today we recorded 3 new tracks, 2 of which will be on an EP we are putting out to coincide with the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool which we are playing at, in August this year. So into the studio we went, and recorded and mixed said 3 songs today. Luckily as a 3-piece we don`t have much to record, and we do the bass and drums together to get a live feel. So trusty 78 Precision into my trusty Aguilar Tonehammer DI I went, and straight to desk. Makes recording so easy. The day went well. We started at 9:30 and had finished everything before 2:00 - drums, bass, rhythm guitar, lead solos, lead vox and backing vox. Went and had some lunch leaving the producer to get onto the mixing as we wanted to essentially get him to do the mix without us, and then we could simply ask for things to be upped/reduced if necessary. Not much tweakage was deemed necessary and by 5:30 all was done. Am tired, but was a great day, am happy with the results, and more than happy at how well we work as a unit in the studio. Later on in the year we`ll be recording a new album and today has installed that "can`t wait" feeling.
