I have a black BB424X. That is a lot of bass for £200!

It's a lot of bass at £300. I bought a vw 424 a couple of weeks or I would have had this. Shame you haven't taken to it as they are fantastic instruments. Best colour in the x version as well IMO. GLWTS.

I'm very tempted myself. I had 424X in metallic red. Goodness only knows why I sold it. Vintage white is my favourite. Must resist

CorrectBobby Bbs are the business , after selling my 1024 I couldn't get on with anything else so got myself a 1025 as im wanting to give a 5er a good go. If I take to it ill be on the lookout for a 425 as a back up. Dont need this but at that price its crying out 'buy me!'

Yamaha's are incredible value. I've just picked a BB404 up for £80. It plays beautifully, nice and light, sounds great, nice fretwork. 80 quid! Unbelievable. For £200, you'd be very hard pushed to better a BB424X
