Just a quick question if I may?

Is T-Cut an appropriate product to polish small scratches out of a thick polyester finish?

Ta in advance.

Ooh, if not what is?

just happened to have tried this on a red Westone Thunder Bass. Results seem good and no obvious issuues. Will probably try another application to get a better finish,

This is the product that I use these days, not cheap but it is very good.

T-Cut will work to an extent but is abrasive by it's nature. It will remove scratches by cutting back the lacquer and paint, but too much and you'll wear away the finish. To be honest, I imagine most other scratch removers will do that too!

Remember to use a quality polish afterwards to protect the cut paint.

Have you tried Brasso ? Its like T Cut but finer.

Proper liquid Brasso, not the stuff thats on cotton like Duraglit, although that would probably work as well.

Not used it on guitars but I know my car detailing products - I'd suggest Autoglym Super Resin Polish. it's a polish (hence the name!) i.e. mildly abrasive - less so than T-cut - but also contains fillers so that it fills in small scratches as well as polishes out very fine ones.
In fact, thinking about it, I'm going to try it on my Jazz and then apply some Meguiar's Powerlock nano-sealant to keep it clean...
