Hey all

My name is Rob and im 15!

I have been playing guitar for a few years now, but am tempted to get a bass now

Reason being, it looks fun, hardly anyone i know plays one, just fun to learn something new

My Dad cant play anything, but he says he wants one for some reason (im not going to say no!)

I have a pretty god idea on what guitars are good, but i know nothing about basses. Al the different pick up layouts and stuff :S

Im just wondering what would be a good guitar to start off with? Nothing crappy, something half decent would be ideal...

Welcome to the forum

There are some good threads about first basses in the various forums, but it's ultimately about budget and what feels good within that. Try some out in a shop.

well mate welcome and if money is an issue then i would suggest a peavey or yamaha...

excelent starter basses and make good first choice basses too...
