Third gig - an hour.

Following our (my) second gig last week, we now have a showcase booked on Sunday. This means playing for an hour - not played for that long yet!!

The Moot House in Kingston does these quite regularly, apparently...

Kick off is 7:30, apparently.

Given that it wasn't the busiest venue - 12 people there - that went quite well.
We actually played an hour and ten minutes as it turned out.
I thought we played well, and so did the 12...!

Just found out that on June 21st this year, we're doing an afternoon outdoor gig ( 2 1/2 hours) in the afternoon, then an evening about 5 miles away ( 3 hours). Looking forward to that....

How many tracks will you play in that time?

We played 12 in a little over an hour.

We're doing covers, so not really a fair comparison, but each gig will probably be about 25-35 songs. And a lot of them will be repeated from the afternoon to evening, so the main problem will be staying sharp! Fingers might be a bit worn, might use a pick more than normal!!

I used one I rehearsal last week and the drummist asked me what was wrong with the bass...
