Dave Wallace Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Hello. I play a Warwick Streamer Stage 1 6-string through a Mesa Boogie Scout Walkabout combo which has a 15" speaker. This is a good machine but whenever I play through a rig with a 4x10 I hear like a more "modern" sound, clarity, that pleases me. Yet I love the reassuring feel of a 15". I am thinking perhaps to run a 2x10 as an extension speaker to the Boogie to try and get a more versatile sound without breaking either my back or the bank. What do you bass players think of the idea, and what do you like? Quote
Lozz196 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I`d get a matching 115 ext speaker, if they make one. I`ve found this and usually what it seems to me is it`s the sound of multiple speakers. I liked my old Markbass 112 combo, but absolutely loved it when connected to the matching 112 ext cab. Makes a lot of difference, doubling up on what you already like. Quote
