Funky Dunky
Weird question. I dunno why exactly, but I'm drawn to the idea of a bass with a small body. I gather this concept may go against the principles of resonance etc? But can anyone think of, or recommend, some basses with smaller bodies (not steinbergers though) for me to look into? Funky Dunky
Smaller. Rounder. Cheaper. Think Mayones Patriot, then shrink it and knock at least a grand off the ticket. Edited May 23, 2015 by Funky Dunky

Bassassin
Ibanez RB888 or MC888 "Bean" bass. Small bodied variants of the 80s Roadstars & Musicians - if you can find one. Jon.

Oopsdabassist
My Yamaha BBG4 S11 always feel pretty small when compared against my other basses On the left here compared with a Jazz I used to own

Tiny, light and very comfortable with a modern punchy sound. In fact talking about it I think I'd quite like another one.
lojo
My hohner B2a can make monster sounds , which begs the question about tone woods and large bodies , think electronics can do it alone
Pinball
The Farida HB20 is one of the smallest and lightest that I have played. It also sounds great-a powerful little tyke. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/222095-fs-ft-farida-hb20-hypersonic-series-set-neck-pj-lightweight-cw-farida-hard-case/
