Quatschmacher Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Apologies if this has already been posted. Toasted Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 If I had a spare £17K I'd definitely buy it. Quote
wateroftyne Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Seems reasonable. Bear in mind, auctions like this aren't aimed at the likes of you and me. As Toasted says, if I had a bit of spare dough in my pocket (okay - a shedload of spare dough), I'd fly out there, go over it with a fine-tooth comb and, if satisfied, hand over the cash. Quote
bassedsouth Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 That I one of the few original first P basses out there for sale / an investment like this will appreciate forever / a real classic should sell fast .. Quote

doctorbass Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I prefer the 63 Jazz he has for sale.... Quote
BigRedX Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I like the look of that T-Bird. Almost affordable too. Quote
Dr.Dave Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I've never even seen anything as old as this , let alone play it. I'd dearly love to - just to get a feel of something that was around at the start of something that became so important to me years on and has proved to be a life interest. A museum piece then - from a collector standpoint , a sound investment - but I'm not a collector , I'm a player. No way I'd ever buy anything at this sort of money. Quote
Protium Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Would be good for a Green Day covers band I suppose Quote
