matttimms
Hey, So I'm looking g to sell my old trace Elliot 15 combo and I've noticed that when you turn the gain and volume knobs it causes a static noise, is this a big problem? Or an easy fix? Can i still sell it on second hand? It sounds great otherwise, although there is a little feedback. Cheers!
landwomble
Spray contact cleaner in the pots and work back and fourth a bit.
Dad3353
A squirt of contact cleaner in the pots should do the trick. Don't be tempted to use WD40, it's not suitable. Plenty of choice of product on t'bay; this is the stuff I've used for decades... ...easily available (Conrad etc...) and a tin lasts years. Hope this helps. He may equally be amenable to selling you a can. Other than that, Maplins, as above, Conrad or several other online outlets.
