lowregisterhead Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) For sale is a Made In Japan Ibanez BTB1005E-OL 5-string. An early forerunner of the Prestige range, although not badged as such. In pristine unmarked condition, complete with original tags. 35" scale, Bartolini soapbar pickups and ITMB-18 18v preamp. It still has the plastic film on the battery and control cavity covers! Really lovely to play, with a great array of tones. This is not to be confused with the current Indonesian made BTB range - the Japanese made instruments are far superior IMHO. I got this in a trade not long ago, but I have another bass incoming shortly, so I have to 'rationalise' unfortunately... NOW SOLD Edited June 27, 2015 by lowregisterhead

krispn Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 These are great basses- my first proper introduction to a 35" fiver. A tad too modern looking for my sensibilities but a solid instrument. Good luck!

I've owned a few Yamahas , and I have to say this beats them all, even a TRB5Pii....
