Owen
It's no good, I have pledged and bought one. I will report back when it finally arrives.
JapanAxe
Seems like a refinement of the E-Bow.
Owen
That's what it looks like. I never got the ebow to do what I wanted it to. I am gambling that this will. Time will tell
JapanAxe
I have an E-Bow - works great on guitar, pants on bass!
ahpook
Certainly looks interesting - keep us updated.
Owen
Yep, that has been my experience as well. I have installed a Fernandes Sustainer pickup into a Tele and that is lots of fun but I have always wanted the same facility on bass. This might be it, it might not. Kiwi
Something like this would be magic for a fretless but I wouldn't want to be holding it all the time. Super strong electromagnets and current is needed for bass strings due to their heavier mass. Maybe neo magnets might make a difference...? I know of someone who had a Sustainiac installed into his custom Shuker bass and it worked but he later had it removed.

Mr Arkadin
I've pledged too, can't resist sustaining stuff. I have two Sustainer guitars, two EBows (well three but my third is in permanent loan), violin bows and also looking at the Gizmotron 2.0. I thought the Wond would be easier to use on bass than the EBow.
elephantgrey
would these kind of gadgets cause octave/synth/etc. pedals to track better or worse?
Owen
It depends if it actually works!
