Annoying Twit Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Isn't this a bargain? http://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-bass-amplifiers/hartke-xl-series-4x10-bass-cab-for-sale/1118883642 Quote
landwomble Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Yes, assuming it's working, I'd say it is... Quote
Happy Jack Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 And now I know there's a place called Earl Shilton. That is SO much cooler than Acton. Just saying ... Quote
Annoying Twit Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 I think that a lot of musicians live in Earl Shilton. A lot comes up on eBay from Earl Shilton. Earl Shilton isn't as curiously named a town as "Barton in the Beans" though. Quote
tauzero Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Earl Shilton is only about ten miles from Sheepy Magna and Sheepy Parva. Quote
Annoying Twit Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) I cycled through one of those Sheepy towns a couple of months ago. EDIT: Having checked where they are on the map, no I haven't. That's typical for my memory. Returning to topic, if that had been a 2x10, I think I would have gone for it. But, a 4x10 is a bit big for my current means. I have a bid out on a Trace Elliot combo, though it's a lowball and I have no expectation of winning. On seeing the gumtree 4x10, I did think that was a lot of cab for £50. On reading reviews, it seems that the aluminum coned Hartke cabs have a particular sound, which some love and some don't. As I haven't heard that sound, I don't know if I would like it or not.
