urbanx
Do they exist? I'm after a cheaper Jag to refinish (In Sonic Blue thanks for asking). I already play a 'proper' Jag, but there's no way I can bring myself to take a sheet of sandpaper to an £1,100 bass. Looking at all the squires, all I can find are 30" scales, but every now and then on review / American sites someone says 34". i.e. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/bass/squier-vintage-modified-jaguar-electric-bass-guitar-special/h71306 So, can I get a full size Squire Jag in the UK?! Paul S
Vintage Modified HB is long scale. Active with single humbucker in Musicman position, though. Thomann were knocking out the black ones for around £120 a while back but they seem to have sold out.
urbanx
Cheers Paul! I was beginning to question my own sanity then!
philw
There's these two also.. The Squire Vintage Modified (not HB): http://intl.fender.com/en-GB/basses/jaguar/vintage-modified-jaguar-bass-special-rosewood-fingerboard-3-color-sunburst/ The Modern Player: http://intl.fender.com/en-GB/basses/jaguar/modern-player-jaguar-bass-maple-fingerboard-black/ I have a Vintage Modified HB. It's a perfectly good bass, but beware, it's a one trick pony tone wise. Strangely, I want to refinish a Jag too. Mine would be Sea Foam Green though. Who would you have do the re-finish? urbanx
Thanks!! I'm getting the local car shop to do it... Before you laugh, they do it a lot of guitars ./ basses and were kind enough to send lots of photos of previous examples work with their quotation for reassurance. I'm not looking for anything to rival my Jag in terms of tone or playability, it's literally just a whim. Good choice sir - I considered Sea Foam Green for a while... Paul S
There's a body of one of these on eBay at the moment, finishing soonish. Graham
The Troy Sanders model has got to be 34", I've not checked, but I'd be astonished if it's not
