Byo
Never had work done by him, but Graham Parker is based in SE London and on his website there is some really good work.

AntLockyer
Wont be same day though. I had a bass done by him it was pretty good and he's a nice chap. My friend Atheesan also does sterling work but again he's mega busy and I doubt same day would be possible.
project_c
Ok, looks like same day might not be realistic, in which case I may just make a detour and take it to my usual place, the Gallery. It's a fretless so could probably do with being set up by a bass specialist anyway. Nobody who specializes in bass south of the river then? lapolpora
Try Feline Guitars in Croydon. They've always done good work for me. http://www.felineguitars.com

project_c
Thanks guys, would prefer a bass specialist as it's a fretless, but I'll keep Feline in mind, they look ok!
project_c
I'm going to bump this thread because I found someone locally who did a set-up and some mods on this bass (pickup swap, new pickguard and covers), his prices are really reasonable, and he did the work very very quickly, so for anyone looking for someone in this part of London, I can happily recommend him, his name is Ben, his number is 07723401338. I'm loving how this bass has turned out.

Poodle hair is a rare sight these days, might be worth a visit down there to Croydon just to marvel at it.
