I'm doing a lot more schwinging at 55 than I ever did at 29, so that's just rubbish. Mind you, I AM a late developer.

If I was interested in this I'd just go along and not mention my age. And if they asked me I'd just say 'I have a playing age of 29'. It's what us thesps do all the time!

I sent a neo soul band wanting a bassist a recording of me playing along to their you tube clip without revealing my age. They replied saying that my playing was 'sick'. I then revealed my age and received no reply. I can only assume that they assumed I was dead at my revealed age!

It's a shame it's like this but I was the same when I was starting out.

Middle age quality musicians should just get their own sh*t together play some great music. There's enough of us about it seems. :-)

Besides even if I was the very embodiment of Schwiiing to the point where people close to me would actually be able to feel and smell the Schwiiing It would be worthless as unfortunately I'm over the age limit :(

Mind you, if it is and I do have it then I can start a Charriddee and get all you guys to play for free for me and I can get a free parachute jump and get on BBC TV and all that stuff, couldn't I?

Jeez Louise, you geriatric lot are so sensitive... should have mentioned "no greying crybabies"... The other reason for the age is that we do shitloads of really funny drugs and we don't want someone dying in our arms, with their wrinkled ballsack hangin to their knees, we're cliché enough without this. As for the bandmix page I never updated the "wanted" section in 2 years, all these funny drugs!
