I've possibly gone mad, but still.

When I started out playing bass it was on a Yamaha Japan BB300, and ever since then I've had a real soft spot for the BB series.

I've pretty much moved full time to 5 string basses, so have been buying all sorts to try and figure out what's best for me.

I put a wanted ad up for a BB415OM a good while ago and heard nothing, so when a 425x came up recently, I jumped on it.

Sod's law, eBay tells me a saved search for 415om has a result, so I've bought that too.

In my head, I'm going to string one with rounds and one with flats and that'll be my gigging pair.

Or, I'll have 2 BB basses for sale soon 😂

Anyone got experience with these basses?

Looks like 425x will arrive Wednesday and 414 will arrive on Thursday.

In time for a gig this Saturday. Might hold off until I've had a rehearsal with them.

My poor Peavey, it's an amazing bass, I just...there's something about passive basses.

Not 100% certain that the B is as strong as the Peavey (USA GV) but it's really very good for a bolt on 34".

The 415 is due tomorrow 😁
