Annoying Twit Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291467547236?ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1435.l2649 Finished at £75. Just curious as to whether this is a bargain. I put a lighthearted bid of just over £50 on it, without too much motivation to win as I'd have to go all the way to Rugby to pick it up. It sold for £75 which isn't a world away from my bid. How good are these? With the power and the speaker size, it should be a useful amp for playing with a drummer, possibly small venues, etc. And £75 isn't a huge amount of money. If this sort of amp is as good as I'd expect, and if they can be bought for £75 or so, then I wouldn't need to buy a Harley Benton or Behringer amp, I could go for a better brand second hand. Quote
TheGreek Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I had one with all sorts of problems unrelated to the build by TE. They are VERY heavy for what they are - probably better looking for something more lightweight.. Quote
Annoying Twit Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Good points, thank you. But, it woke me up to what is available for how much. There was a TE practice amp on sale here for £20. I would have nabbed that had I not been too late and had I been going to Derby. I must keep one eye open. Quote
TheGreek Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 A while back somebody was advertising a Gallien Kruger 110 Backline on here - can't remember how much but I thought it was ridiculously underpriced at the time and commented so....there seem to be a lot of bargains on here - the trick seems to be knowing which ones you NEED rather than WANT... tauzero Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 There's one of those combos in the rehearsal room that I use. If I was concerned with anything other than hitting the right notes, I wouldn't use it. There's also a Trace 4x10 combo in the room (under the other one, as it happens) which I don't bother using - used to have one, made of depleted uranium, not exactly tone monsters. Quote
