Kev
Lovely bass! Big chunk of missing info though bud, what has happened with the preamp? Extra stacked knob from stock there

desmondpot
The knobs are the same as those included with the Seymour Duncan STC-3. Does the volume knob pull out, boosting the treble and bass?

Dazed
Kev is correct Thumbs are standard 3 knobbers Probably worth opening the electronics cavity and checking whats in it.
Kev
This won't be stock. There is always the possibility of a custom shop, but this looks like the standard 3 knob layout with an extra knob out of pattern with the others. Gut shot please?
sblueplanet
I remember seeing a similar lefty fretless 5 Thumb for sale on another forum which also had four knobs. The guy said it had a piezo fitted in the bridge. I wonder if this is what the extra knob could be?

[/quote] Good shout, it could have a piezo bridge so that could well be it, picture isn't really clear enough to tell. Still, the knobs still confuse me as they are not the usual type, a gut shot would confirm if it is MEC or not, unless you already know?
