zacclowes
Got this yesterday Fully aluminium bass in a travis bean tb1000 body shape. Black anodised body and humbuckers. Sounds awesome through my little at home amp. Can't wait to play it through my meatsmoke
alittlebitrobot
wow. Seriously, how metallic does it sound? Is it like a resonator guitar kind of sound or just normal? I'm a bit of a tonewood sceptic so I'm curious about this kind of thing.

Cosmo Valdemar
I follow this lot on fb. It looks obscenely good, congrats! Are these the ones the guy from Torche plays?
zacclowes
Hey everyone. Thanks for the nice comments. There are some extra overtones from the bass. I'm not sure it's from the hollow body because on these instruments the neck goes through solid to the bridge like a neck through bass. The pickups and the bridge are bolted to the neck thro part and it's a really solid set up. This gives a really fast note attack and seems all the string energy goes into sound. The spectrum of sound you can hear ringing out is amazing really full from the low bass fundemental to super high harmonics and pick noise. Sounds kind of like a jazz bass or Rick on steroids It wasn't cheap.
