How does anyone end up with six "shop-soiled" Steinberger bridges?

Have you never been in a warehouse?? Low paid staff and lack of respect go hand in hand. Maybe they only had 6 to start with hence why only 6 were soiled.

I've actually got one of those bridges on one of my basses, the knobs pull out for easier access but the gearing makes them pretty sensitive.

I would expect in this instance, CH Guitars (the seller) ordered them from their supplier. They probably sat in a drawer or on a shelf for a few years, & got a bit knocked around whilst failing to sell at full price.

I've had a good few bits & pieces from CH over the years, generally well-priced & decent quality. If I'd seen the Steiny bridges before they all sold, I might well have grabbed one. Just in case...

That looks like a clone of the Steinberger-licensed ones used by Hohner & Cort.

Wonder if Kiwi's still got any of those Moses necks he was trying to punt? :D
