Guest MoJo
Back around 2000 - 2001, I went to the Music Live exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham with the intention of seeking out the Hohner B2V I'd seen the previous year. I couldn't find it but, passing the 'Cranes of Swansea' stand, I noticed a lovely five and an equally luscious six string bass, through necks, flamed maple wings. I picked up the sixer and fell instantly in love. It had a large radius, almost flat fretboard and ultra low action. It was ridiculously cheap for the spec as I recall. My money flew out of my hands and the deal was done. It was my main gigging bass for more than a year until I started feeling a little pretentious taking a six string bass to a gig and only playing two of the six strings. So, I sold it. I've not seen one since and if I had the chance, I'd love to buy it back. Here it is at a Halloween gig in 2002 It's a Tanglewood Artisan A6. There is currently a similar bass on the market called the Cort Artisan A6 but the body shape and spec are slightly different. I've only come across a Tanglewood Artisan A4 since. If anyone knows it's whereabouts, I'd love to know
