MuseMatt Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 (edited) I've tried looking for a thread like this but couldn't find it. I need to know a bit about some old basses I could get, but can't find too much information on. First there's a MIJ Fender Jazz, built between 84-87. How were the Japanese builds at that time? One tuner has been replaced. Current bid around 500 euro's, I could easily top that. I play desert rock (think QOTSA, Masters of Reality) Help appreciated Edited August 27, 2008 by MuseMatt Quote
The Funk Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 The Fralins and Aguilar pre would be worth a couple of hundred quid on their own. The 2nd Jazz looks good. Quote
escholl Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 If it were me, i would be all over that second one. i've got some fralin's in my bass -- amazing! Quote
MuseMatt Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 cheers for the advices! I'm emailing the guy as we speak. Definately trying it out then! I have an OBP-1 in my Precision Lyte together with some antiquities.. those aguilar boxes are really smexy. Quote
The Funk Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I don't know what this says about me but I read the title as Old Breasts - and then ventured inside for a peek. Quote

The Funk Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I prefer the term "Grilf" to "Gilf". It has more of a ring to it. Quote
cheddatom Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Grilf - nice one. Do you mind if I borrow that word for my new DVD? Confessions of a Grilfer. Quote

cheddatom Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 The Funk - No problem, perhaps you'd like to come round and watch it on my projector screen with mavis and gertrude? If I was as much a twat as you insinuate i'd insult you back! God knows why you're calling me a twat? Quote
