discreet Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Shergold Meteor Deluxe - Lefty! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Shergold-electric-guitar-/131535868383? My first post in the g**t*r section *worried look* but I thought someone of the sinister persuasion may be interested in this Shergold Meteor Deluxe - a fine 70s hand-crafted British vintage guitar, and a lefty, so of no Earthly use to me! I have an eBay search set up to alert me to all things Shergold and Hayman and this popped up.
Ancient Mariner Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) I had a righty in the 80s. Wanted to love it, but the pickups sounded bad and the maple fingerboard had a really sharp edge to it that gave me a sore left hand after an hour or so. Nostalgia isn't what it was. Replaced it with a Strat, and couldn't have been happier. Edited June 18, 2015 by Ancient Mariner
CamdenRob Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited)
I had a righty in the 80s. Replaced it with a Strat, and couldn't have been happier.
I think my ideal Shergold would be a cheapo one that had already been butchered so I wouldn't feel bad about putting a decent set of pickups in it and sorting out any problems... It's entirly an aesthetic thing for me, I love the way they look. Edited June 19, 2015 by CamdenRob
Ancient Mariner Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 And that is entirely reasonable - I feel the same about the Godin Radiator.
