sellisnba Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Hi all I was just wondering if bassdoc is doing any custom orders again? I want to get a new pickguard made up. Thanks Quote
CamdenRob Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) I thought he'd done a Lord Lucan... *edit* the disapearing bit not the murdering bit... Edited June 16, 2015 by CamdenRob Quote
Sibob Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I know that he's working locally again (Newcastle), I believe he's sorted out a number of his problems which caused a number of us to have very drawn-out issues with him, which is good. His online presence has all but gone. However, I think, unless I was local and could actually go to him in person, I would not risk sending a job his way, which is sad to say. But that's just me. There is bound to be many many people around the south of England that could do the work I imagine. Si Quote
sellisnba Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 Cheers @Sibob I'll have a look round down my neck of the woods. Quote
molan Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 These guys have a new range of cool vintage style guards: http://www.fatboyguitars.com/ Not shown on their site yet but if you ask them I'm sure they'll be able to send through some details Quote
Billy Apple Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 The Bass Doc left members out of pocket and with little explanation. Approach with caution. Quote

karlfer Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Bass Doc does seem to be getting referred to a lot on the Facebook page North East Bass Bin, but that's not much use in Exeter, sorry. Quote

chrismuzz Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) I got ther pickguard made for the Peavey Zodiac bass in my avatar by a local luthier (J Davey Guitars, Wolverhampton) very good value too! It might be worth having a ring round local guys and seeing if someone can accommodate you Edited June 16, 2015 by chrismuzz Quote
sellisnba Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 Thanks for all the replys, I've decided to go down the anodised pickguard route. Cheers Quote

What did he charge if you don't mind me asking Chris? Quote
