DaveFry
A Tololoche is the Mexican equivalent of the double bass . The name , from the Mayan language, means " bull embrace " . The softwood body is matched to a fingerboard and bridge of very hard local woods , designed for slapping . ( English translation of Spanish Wiki page ; http://translate.goo...che&prev=search ) There seems to be a traditional party number called " El Tololoche Chicoteado " where the player demonstrates his skill at resembling riding a bull : - Hope that inspires/interests someone . Rabbie
Ha ha. Awesome! He actually keeps impeccable time when he's riding the bass around the yard (not so much when he stands still). Mental in a good way. If I try that I'm going straight to A & E. The guys are having an absolute ball, good for them. I bet there's a fair bit of mezcal involved... AndyBass
I'd have more chance with an actual bull, I think. Maybe this is one for the Duke...
