Veils
Looking for the opinion of any current or previous owners. I'm in the market for a lightweight head, I've always leaned towards Markbass in the past, but I'm exploring other options. I recently went and listened in to some samples on youtube of the Reidmar and I have to say it sounds amazing! I'm going to be playing a passive bass through it. Would love to hear the opinions of the good people of Basschat. For what it's worth, I'd probably pair it up with an EBS 1x12 cab.
Mr H
Try this: http://basschat.co.u...47-ebs-reidmar/ That thread encouraged me to get one. Handsome. I'm not experienced enough to tell you how it compares to its competition, though.
Veils
Thanks bud!! Seems the general concensus is pretty good
TheGreek
Bernie Goodfellow was using one on his stand at this years LBGS - the basses were sounding mighty fine through it. Hen Barn was and then wasn't selling one earlier this year - I'd PM him for his opinion. The one thing you can count on with EBS is the build quality and this means that the Reidmar is going to be very good value as you're going to get a lot of amp for your money. Veils
If it's good enough for Bernie, I'd say it's more than likely good enough for me
Dood
There's also Reidmar 750 I understand: http://www.iguitarmag.com/news/2015/04/ebs-expands-reidmar-series-with-reidmar-750-lightweight-bass-amp/
HazBeen
I had it, great sounding amp and incredibly loud at 250 watts..... It was a backup and I sold it, but should have kept it. It really is quite good.
tonyf
There's also Reidmar 750 I understand: http://www.iguitarma...eight-bass-amp/
Flipping hell. Gotta say, the one thing I've NEVER struggled with using my Reidmar is volume. A 750w version seems a little pointless from my experience with the 250 version. Oopsdabassist
Agreed, and that 250W is through 4 ohm too, my barefaced compact is 8 ohm and the Reidmar is STILL louder than 2 geetarists through Marshalls!! Top piece of kit, bought mine as a back up to a 400W Eden...which now just gathers dust!
Graham
A Reidmar and Neo 1x12 has just popped up on the Bass Players - sell - buy-swap Uk Only Facebook group, the bloke wants £450 for both if that's any use to you.
AntLockyer
I love mine and would only change for a HD350
Macbass68
I have a Reidmar, and a Classic Line 1 x12 cab. (I add a 1 x 15 for larger gigs). These are great amps, provided you spend the time 'exploring' them. You can get great tone, and plenty of power. Absolutely love them! Bigwan
There's also Reidmar 750 I understand: http://www.iguitarmag.com/news/2015/04/ebs-expands-reidmar-series-with-reidmar-750-lightweight-bass-amp/
Hmm... I wouldn't have believed it of EBS. 750 "dynamic" watts! What are they? Iguitar compare the 750 "watts" of this model to the 470 of the current Reidmar... Which is actually rated at 250 watts rms.
