Rich
This man was born on this day in 1908. Maybe not a familiar face, but you know his work. This is Barry Gray, the man responsible for bringing the Thunderbirds (and Stingray and Captain Scarlet and Joe 90 and UFO and all the other Gerry Anderson masterpieces) to life with his sensational music. For me, the Thunderbirds March is and always will be the finest TV theme of all time, but there are so many other superb pieces within those soundtracks. Have a listen to this, the "Thunderbirds Zero-X Theme", for another of example of his mastery. Together, he and Mr Anderson gave the young me endless hours of pure escapist joy -- and yes, the older me still loves to watch and listen to their amazing work. How I wish I could have met them both to thank them.
LowB_FTW
One of the very first pieces of music I learned on bass was the theme to Mission Impossible. I always keep trying the tune to Doctor Who but never quite manage to finish it. I'm slowly working my way through the theme to The Mandalorian at present. I've always wanted to start on getting the theme to Blake's 7 figured out, but as yet I just haven't started that one. Mark
