Matty
Can't beat an ernie ball imo. the jr's are good if you're low on space.
spinynorman
I used to have a Morley, can't remember which model. I do remember I really didn't get on with it, I couldn't work out the setup so it came in progressively. However, I am a notorious pedal-phobe, so it may just be me. dudewheresmybass
i use the Boss fv500H - a great pedal - totally bombproof construction, a minimum setting to set it up for just boosting, no string in sight, and can also be used as an expression pedal (with a stereo lead). all this and retail price around the £70 mark! Higgie
The Visual Sound Volume pedal is the best in my experience! It's got LEDs to show how loud you are, so you don't have to rely on your ears alone! Great idea IMO. The older version (if you can find it) should be pretty cheap, but the new version has blue LED's and some other fancy options like stereo outputs and stuff. Hope this has been of some help, and good luck finding the one for you!

Higgie
I have an original model, and it hasn't given me any trouble what so ever. It has a Tuner output too, so you can just rock the pedal back and tune in silence. I think the newer models can be had for around £50? Not too sure as I haven't felt the need to get one after buying an original

The Burpster
VERY happy with my Morley but I do have big feet and the switchable min volume is superb http://www.morleypedals.com/dpvo+.html
Alun
The cheapy Bespecos are remarkably good. Only plastic but I've had mine for over 10 years and haven't broken it yet.
