markbass555 Posted January 2, 2016 Author Posted January 2, 2016 It was built to the Specs of Karlfer (who is a valued member on these boards) who was the original owner and got it as a custom build from Mark who builds the limelight basses. So if he is reading this maybe he could chip in. Sorry can't be if anymore help. Dave
karlfer Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Specs were 64 Jazz bass. Sea foam green, matching headstock, 60's pup positions, alder body, maple neck, rosewood board, vintage style bridge. Nobody but Mark knows exactly where the components come from, but everybody who has had a Limelight made for them seems to be pretty much in agreement that it all comes together very nicely. There is a similar Fender Custom Shop Jazz in Thomann, Sea Foam Green, light relic, matching headstock. It's just over £2900. Why did I sell? Because I got the fretboard in rosewood, vintage correct. I don't get on with rosewood. The only conclusion that can be made is that I'm stupid This is a truly wonderful bass in so many ways.
