TJ Spicer
Dingwall ABII Walnut 5 String [s]£2475[/s] £2225 I've owned the bass for 2 years, bought new from Bass Direct. Active/Passive switchable with the Glockenklang preamp. A great sounding bass with a beautifully comfortable neck profile and a great mid presence from the all walnut body and neck with a wenge fretboard. Harmonics ring incredibly strongly and the bass retains a semi acoustic air to the sound from its cutaway. The bass has mostly stayed at home, being used only on one recording and for a couple of rehearsals in the time i've owned it. I'm only selling it because I treat it with too much respect and thus it never leaves the house and it's too good to be sat on the wall for the rest of its life. The bass has no blemishes or marking except for one very small white mark on the top of the headstock. It comes with the original Dingwall gig bag and tools! The bass is in Maidenhead, between Reading and Slough, or can be arranged to be viewed in Bath. Postage can be arranged. Thank you for looking! TJ Spicer
Thank you! Feel free to send me offers - [s]things of the acoustic double bass, Sadowsky and Musicman variety will be of particular interest, but something else may grab my interest, you never know![/s] Edited July 15, 2015 by TJ Spicer
TJ Spicer
[s]Change of heart and reassessment of what I'll genuinely use has led me to the conclusion that a Musicman /PJ pickup'd/ Jazz fretless 4 would be the way to go. Musicman Bongo 4 fretless would be the bass of choice but Stingrays or Sterlings would be considered too! Anything PJ or jazz fretless will be looked at as well, all as part of a trade + cash deal.[/s] Edited August 8, 2015 by TJ Spicer

TJ Spicer
That would be Dingwall's magnetic battery cover! Top idea, saves getting the tools out to replace the battery.
Paulhauser
TJ, you have a magnificent example of a Dingwall here. I'm at the moment Dingwall-less, but this would be a very good choice if I could have the possibility to buy it. Alas, I can not, but have a free bump on me. dmccombe7
Gorgeous looking Dingwall. Shame you are selling such a nice bass. GLWTS. Great price for one of these. Not many people will spend or have the money for a classic bass like this i'm afraid but hang in there, eventually the right buyer will come along. All the best Dave

Black Coffee
These really are magnificent instruments. I've owned three different dingwalls and loved em all but sold them for similar reasons as yourself - too much worry and respect for it to enjoy playing it wherever I would be going. It took away the enjoyment, hence I now play cheaper and cheerful and love it. It is a niche market waiting for those with enough cash sitting to buy one outright unfortunately - I sold two musicmans and a fender custom shop jazz to go towards my ABII. Keep patience and a buyer will come. GLWTS.
TJ Spicer
Thanks Black Coffee! Appreciating that not many people will have the cash, i'll happily entertain trade + cash offers, but the most likely to be accepted are those of the 5 string Musicman variety. Stingray Classic 5 would be the ideal, but offer me whatever you have, worst I can say is no!
