cocco Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Me too. Never heard of the maker before but it looks cool! *edit* Blood and custard, my favorite combination Edited June 23, 2015 by cocco Quote
discreet Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 If it were just custard it would be fantastic... hmm... Quote
Guest MoJo Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I didn't realise that Wayne was no longer active on the forum Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 It's the rapier name I dont like Quote
TheGreek Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Would match Wayne's trainers perfectly - yes, BC is a little bit more je ne sais quai without Wayne... Quote

BigRedX Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Is that actually a Wilson bass? Looks like something cobbled together from various parts including some (scratch plate, bridge, knobs and neck plate) off a 60s Wilson, but the rest looks very much late 70s early 80s. Quote

Bassmonkey Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Never mind Where's Wally - Where's Wayne? has he abandoned us? Quote

rushbo Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Very cool. But...it may just be the angle of the photographs but the action looks hand cripplingly high and the G string looks very close to the outer edge of the neck... Quote
paul j h Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I can remember drooling over the Wilson guitars in the old "Bells" catalogues many moons ago. I don't like the refinish on this one though! Quote
Subbeh Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Properly nice bass, great poster too was Wayne Quote
Count Bassy Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I think Wayne got married, didn't he? That might explain his reduced activity! Quote

Kev Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Lets not turn it into one of those threads, folks Have to agree, that bass looks like it may be horrific to play in its current setup. Kinda cool, though Quote
Bassassin Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I miss Wayne too, cool fella & from my old neck of the woods (Medway Tahns), but as is the way of such things, must now never be spoken of. This bass, on the other hand, looks like a dog's breakfast, and has been knocking around Ebay unsold for months. I think it's a much-modified (some might say mutilated) example of the natural wood finish bass you'll find halfway down this page. Jon. Quote

Bassassin Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 It's no coincidence that "Vimto" is an anagram of "vomit". J. Quote
