This is my Status neck Jazz bass.
I'll have this here until Sunday, then off the Fleabay :)

The body is a stripped Fender 62 Roadworn 2 piece Alder body.
The neck is a genuine Status graphite, carbon fibre weave.
The control plate, stack pots and wiring are by Madison's, the pickups are genuine Fender USA 62 AVRI. Gotoh 201 bridge.
Fender Tort scratchplate. The tuners are Schaller/Fender.
The neckplate is a Stainless steel Wudtone, incredibly strong and solid.

Action on the E at the 12th fret is about 2mm, bottom of string to top of fret. I like this height.
It can go lower, as there's loads left in the bridge, and the trussrod works perfectly.

No fretwear.

The body has assorted character wear from when it was a 62 Roadworn.
You can see there are a few filled screwholes from the previous Tuner mountings, and I repaired a couple of minor dinks on the back of the stock.
The front of the headstock is pristine.

I stripped the finish to let the Alder ring. it worked, this is the most 'musical' bass I've ever played. It's clear, open and articulate, and very woody. Just sings.

It comes with a hardshell case. Price of £599.00 includes UK mainland shipping.
Interested in cash or a really good Phil Jones combo.

The body was sanded to 800 grit, then waxed, buffed in, then left to dry for a week before buffing out.
Feels like no finish, smooth, dry, warm wood.
Makes the sound really airy and open, you can feel the body ringing when you play.

Thanks very much.

It's a beaut to play, real vintage vibe, but with a contemporary feel.
I had always wondered about graphite necks, but it sounds amazingly woody and warm, but very clear.

I'm sold on graphite now.
I just had another bass finished for me by David Wilson in Acomb. This new one has a one piece Alder body and a graphite neck.
Have to make room....

Quick update.

I bought a Phil Jones Combo, so am no longer looking for trades.
I am still interested in the bass going to a good home.

I'll listen to reasonable offers.

There has never been a time with so many beautiful basses for sale on the market. This is very dangerous.
