Chiliwailer
There's quite a few Urge versions, I'm not too up on them but I'd guess this is the cheaper Mexico version. The original Urge 1 had 2 x J pickups and 1 x P pickup, not fret dots and different hardware. The Urge 2 then went regular scale and the pickguard changed, maybe the electrics too? Can't recall tbh. Did see a cool Sherwood Green Urge 1 sell on eBay a few months back, the bass was also on BC, went for around £600. Good deal for the right guy. Count Bassy
I have both a US and a Mexican Urge Mk 1. Both very nice basses, but the US one has more/different features: Extra (P) pick up, different electronics (Kibuchi?), passive/active switch. Microtilt, colour matched head, smaller head & compact enclosed tuners (Gotoh style), string through body. The Mex (unmodified & same colour as this one) was around £320 without a case, so the price being asked for this one (£400) may not be far off, depending on if you like the mods or not. However with the shipping and import costs definitely too much to consider form the UK (IMHO).
PlungerModerno
Cool info - I've only ever seen the 3 pickup version of this, and never knew they did a medium scale version.
Count Bassy
Cool info - I've only ever seen the 3 pickup version of this, and never knew they did a medium scale version.
Yes, the Mk1 was 32" scale, the mex one having 2 pickups, the US one 3 pickups (as above). The Mk2 was 34" and (afaik) was only available in the US version.
