Cato
I'm keeping an open mind - I loved his first 3 albums but he went a bit weird after that (Both musically & in his personal life). Still, JayZ absolutely stormed the Pyramid a few years ago, as long as Kanye doesn't go for a million costume changes or go off on a 20 minute rant about something I reckon he'll probably do pretty well. If nothing else I'd be expecting some world class musicians on that stage with him.

0175westwood29
not for me, im guessing hes gonna have jay-z and beyonce come and sing from the rumours, there will be a good reaction from the crowd and it will be reported as a awesome performance. like i said not for me andy
steantval
Already switched over. Gone on the red button options and now watching Mavis Staples, great backing band, guitarist has lovely feel and tone.
72deluxe
No band! Those guys on the folk stages have a vocalist with a laptop, and on the main stage we have a vocalist with a laptop.... EDIT: An angry vocalist with a laptop. And a million lights. Edited June 27, 2015 by 72deluxe

Sibob
I'm not near a Tellybox, is he getting bottled? Please tell me the ego-maniac is being bottled?! I wondered whether he'd have the gall to turn up without a band....proven correct :-/ Si
lonestar
Just watched 5 mins of it Pile of sh*te so far. Giving up now
TimR
Twitter has just about melted and it's mainly positive.
That's what happens when you follow people with the same tastes as you. You get a biased view. My Twitter feed has also melted. But not positively. I watched two numbers. I didn't understand it. It's obviously some kind of high art but doesn't appeal to me.
jonnythenotes
This is the worst live ' music ' I have ever seen...every time I turn the tv back to see if he's finished, he still on... just pay him off, and get some music on...
Shambo
Not being a Kanye fan and only having heard a handful of his songs on the radio, I've watched with an open mind and can honestly say I think he's very talented. I'm enjoying it.
Hobbayne
Quite enjoying Suede with the bloke from Pointless brother on a Ric bass
Sibob
Regardless of whether people like him or not (I thought his first album was great), I think it's pretty shoddy to turn up for a headliner slot without a great band. It's the one thing live hip-hop does brilliantly (usually). Just lazy! Is there much of a 'show' at all? Si
White Cloud
I'm sorry, I don't like being negative...but in my opinion it is just absolutely dire. Headline at Glastonbury? If he was playing in my back garden I would tell him to shut up and close the curtains. The crowd seem to be enjoying it - however I find if awful...I just don't get it. Kanye - "Rap is the new rock and roll, and as the biggest rap star in the world I am the biggest rock and roll star in the world" Eh, no it isn't and no you're not. Rant over. timmo
I had the choice of that, or learn a Deep Purple song. Didn`t take me long, but it was always going to be more enjoyable
steantval
Freddie has just turned over in his grave. I can't believe he tried to sing Bohemien Rapsody - diabolical. IMO - this guy lacks talent and should never be headlining a major festival.
machinehead
I've watched it all so far - trying to be open-minded and like it but.. what a pile of absolute sh*(e. The worst part, and there are many, was his attempt to sing along with Queen. Flat and tuneless. Dreadful. Frank.

Billy Apple
Kanye - "Rap is the new rock and roll, and as the biggest rap star in the world I am the biggest rock and roll star in the world"
Do they still rain bad acts with bottles of piss at festivals? Was always a feature at Donnington and Reading.

Cato
Earlier I wrote 'If nothing else I'd be expecting some world class musicians on that stage with him.' Now I feel like a bit of a plonker. Anyway, once I got over the shock & indignation at the lack of band I quite enjoyed it. I'm still not sure about the auto-tune stuff and his need to feed his ego (eg. getting the crowd to sing Bohemian Rhapsody with him just so he could feel like a classic rock star) is somewhere between comedic & pathetic, but over all I enjoyed it more than not. I understand hip-hop can raise very strong emotions in those who are not fans of the genre - It'd be a boring world if we all liked the same stuff. TimR
I like hip hop. Was that hip hop? I thought it was more like RnB.
