Kirky Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Yep they really put on a great show. One of my faves so far. Quote
Norm Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Guitarist from our band was there said it was great or "jizz worthy" as he put it! Quote
kodiakblair Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I think they're supporting AC/DC at Hampden today. Dc fans are in for a treat cause that was a great set. Quote
Bassassin Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Saw this lot supporting The Who a few years back - great fun & masses of energy. Jon. Quote
deepbass5 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Thanks for that Booom, That was good I'll be checking them out Quote
BassBus Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Blimey! two bands I've enjoyed this year. That guy can fairly work an audience. Quote
miles'tone Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Brilliant! Thanks for that. I've just shared it all over Facebook to cheer up all my mates who haven't seen a proper band there yet! Quote
ern500evo Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Great band, I only got to know about them when my friends band starting covering their track 'Blues hand me down'. Would love to see them live, some really cracking tunes. Quote
MoonBassAlpha Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Great guitar sound, I can't imagine a better one for this type of music. Quote
Booooooom Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 They've been supporting ACDC around Europe and will be in North America soon. I've seen them a few times now and was blown away every time. Met them too and you won't meet a nicer, humble bunch of guys. Thoroughly recommend catching them live. The recordings are good, but seeing them live is something else! Follow them online and become a Troublemaker! Quote

Dazed Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Very retro aren't they? One of the better performances I've seen over the weekend. ( with dry feet from a very comfy sofa ) Now available on the red button Quote
Mcgiver69 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Thanks for that! I was looking for this vid Caught up with the last song yesterday while trying to wash out what Kanye did to my soul. Quote
Mcgiver69 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Did anyone realised that both the drummer and the guitar player look like Viggo Mortesen the actor?? Quote
ead Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Super good band. Saw them in Preston a couple of years ago and left the show thinking they were going to be massive, and how glad I was to have seen them in a nice small venue. Quote
well... the guitarist is Swedish and the drummer acted in 'Cheers' Quote
silverfoxnik Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Love this band; great front man, great players and a cool retro vibe. We used to cover 'Blues Hand Me Down' of theirs in my last band, and though most punters didn't know either the song or the band, it always went down great! Quote

kodiakblair Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Tom Russell was interviewing them today at the AC/DC gig and judging from comments and posts on Tom's FB page they were great. Looks like a very successful weekend for them. Quote
chris_b Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 The BBC missed a big trick there. That was far more interesting than most of the stuff they did broadcast! Quote
KevB Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015
Super good band.
I thought about this when they were on Jools a year or two back. I wasn't sure how well an act like that would translate to bigger stages and having seen a bit of the Glasto footage I'm still not sure. But then James Brown, who the singer is using as a strong reference, spent most of his performing life as a caberet act. Still an outstanding performer but probably most effective in a more intimate environment. I saw JB in what was effectively a 'festival' type stage set up and he looked a bit lost (though it was toward the end of his life). Quote
