dincz
To counter my negativity re Florence and the Machine, I'm currently astonished by Nadine Shah's voice and songs. Just wow! I do like a bit of dark and sinister. Feast your ears: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIAKMdER2Ls I thought I read somewhere she was doing Glastonbury but can't find anything on iPlayer. Any info? HowieBass
She's playing a handful of dates this year, not Glastonbury though. I agree, she's good; reminds me a bit of early PJ Harvey.

dincz
I always forget that this kind of music is depressing to some people. I think those of us who have a tendency to the dark side find it comforting - "Oh somebody else knows how it feels". A bit like settling into a comfortable warm bath. A very dramatic voice - and in tune too Edited June 28, 2015 by dincz
HowieBass
I discovered Nadine Shah through the use of her song 'Aching Bones' for the exit music of TV drama series 'Mammon' http://youtu.be/nkg-BZI-WRA
