jimmy23cricket
Hello All, First post, so be gentle. I am currently running a TC BH250 head with 2 Hydrive 112 cabs. I need something else with more power and like the look of the LH500. The on-line manual has a warning though which states something along the lines of 600w at a minimum of 4 ohms should only be connected to this head. Would the two 112's (300w with switchable impedance 4 or 8 ohms) be ok with this head? Thanks in advance!
LewisK1975
If you set the 2 cabs to 8 ohms and connect them in parallel with normal speaker cable, that will present a load of 4 ohms to the amp, which will be fine. Didn't know the hydrive cabs had switchable impedance though, that really is useful!
barkin
Switch both the cabs to 8 Ohm (for a combined impedance of 4 Ohms) and you're good to go

bonzodog
I use a LH500 and am very happy with it. It is a very simple setup so not everyones cup of tea but i like the simplistic eq. i have never seen the bit about having 600w at 4ohm. I use mine with two TC elec BC212 at 250w each so i am only getting 500w at 4ohm not 600w. Never had a problem though and it never goes up past a quarter even at big gigs with no PA support
Lozz196
I`ve seen a bassist use the LH500/2xHD112 set-up and it sounded very nice.
