Julio Posted July 4, 2015 Author Posted July 4, 2015 Sorry, really need the cash for holiday beer money , sluuurp!
Julio Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 It Looks like 8.5 pounds on my bathroom scales. Width at the nut is 42.5mm
PaulWarning Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 although it's very hard to be sure with Hondo's it may not be a Japanese one, they've usually got made in Japan on the neckplate, I may be wrong though
Julio Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 Yes i would usually look for MIJ on the neck plate but i have had guitars in the past with blank plates , I would think its either Japanese or possibly Korean but due to it having a fender style headstock that would indicate to me its MIJ , the laters ones had thoses very odd shaped headstocks I have to say this is much better made than some of those awful Les Paul type guitars they were knocking out when i was a lad !
Bassassin Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Pretty much all of the copy-era Hondos were Korean, made by Samick. Jon.
Left Foot Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Just to add, the HondoII I own is Korean made and has a wonderfully round maple neck and dimarzio pup. Its a carbonita design though. Just saying.
Marc S Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I've got an old Hondo P bass - part of a project I haven't got round to (another one! lol) and it has Made In Japan on the neckplate.....
