Worst bass colour ever.

I can hardly look at it... burp  , ugh, a little bit of sick... cough.

I did a google image on not sure anything can really compete, unless you can find a tan brown sparkle sunburst?

You could buy yourself a burgundy mist Jazz here on BC:

I quite like the body shape. And even if you didn't are you really telling me that Warwick do not make worse body shapes?
I like the body shape, too. :) Warwick famously stole the Spector shape for their own basses. Stuart was furious, and still is. But yes, Warwick have certainly come up with some belters on their own account. Cough! *Dolphin!* Cough!

Worst ever.. Spalted or burled. Rotten wood on your bass Sir?
I've seen spalted that I like. But yes, essentially it's diseased wood.

Does plain (even rotten) wood even count as a colour - I know Warwick basses are often uncoloured but they have made some choice coloured ones including aherm ............. black (about the least adventurous of all bass colours), and the even more whacky chrome and dirty blond!!

That Musicman puke colour has surely to rank as one of the all time disasters of mixed pigment though! The pic shown is not too bad but I've seen others where it looks browny yellow - it's called trans green btw (for those who didn't know)

I'm interested in the pickup combo, but oh, the colours...

Tort just does not go with that body, IMO.

There was a 70s Rick copy available in that same green/yellow burst. It's affectionately known as "SnotGlo". :D

There's a lot of colours tort doesn't go with - the exceptions being white, sunburst, natural and (at a push) fiesta red. It does not go with any kind of blue, green, black, grey or silver... IMHO, of course... :)

There were some truly horrendous "crackle" finishes in the 80s.
Washburn, Jackson and Charvel seemed to be the main offenders...

I was thinking of doing a refin in 'craqueleur' style, i.e. a type of checking...

Yeah, but it's not going to look like this monstrosity, is it?

I was thinking of something along these lines, but maybe a little more subtle...

I have to agree with you, I think that one on ebay is the worst colour instrument ever! :o

I used to have one of these, great bass and seemed to fit the spoof hair-metal band I was with at the time perfectly.... Not so sure nowdays, but given the chance I'd probably buy it back!

Any bass (or guitar) with a blue or green top and natural sides and back - usually in some incredibly bland looking wood. Only someone colour-blind could think it was attractive.

I had the guitar version of one of these. It was a nice player, though the novelty of that finish wore off rather quickly.

I quite like Antigua...

I'm with you, I'd love an Antigua P!

Then again... I quite like that Stratoburst too, so I might just be a weirdo.
