MiltyG565 Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Generally, I avoid bass-only songs like a plague, as I can usually see nothing more in them than a show of skill, which is cool, but not for me. This, however, I love. Granted, the lyrics aren't fantastic, but I think overall the song is great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpCMH43VlQU Quote
Musashimonkey Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Great piece from a great bassist. I know what you mean about the lyrics, but when they're that funky and sung with feel, man that irons everything out for me! Quote
DaveFry Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I like this one too ; Quote

Count Bassy Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Far prefer the first two, ie without the looping/multi-tracking. Quote
darkandrew Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 We always used to have a drums, bass and vocal only song that we'd drop into the set when the guitarist broke a string. Quote
Yeah, I've heard looped tracks before, and they can be really great too, but I just admire somebody's ability to write an accessible song (i.e. not something played on a coffee table and rammed full of muted slap triplets and harmonics) for bass only.
