rjs1909 Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 The Working Bassist's Tool Kit: The Art and Craft of Successful Bass Playing by Ed Friedland Has anyone read this book and is it worth getting. I have Ed's "Building Walking Bass Lines" and it is great but I hate buying stuff when I can't see what's on the inside Quote

louisthebass Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Like all of Ed's books, it's very good. He knows how to put a good bass tuition book together . Main things it focuses on are time/groove, palm muting, ear training, navigating chord charts, "gig survival", doubling on electric and DB. There's a lot of good info, and I'd probably say the split between text and examples is about 60/40. Well worth buying IMO... Quote
