Mudpup Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Interesting........ https://www.facebook.com/genzleramplification?fref=ts Looks like he's back in business soon Quote
Bill Fitzmaurice Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015
Looks like he's back in business soon
Only because Fender sold G-B. He would have signed a non-compete clause that kept him out of the business for at least five years when he sold out to Fender, but as that agreement would have been terminated when Fender sold G-B. IanA Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Great news, Jeff makes great gear and is a pleasure to deal with, Quote
Byo Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Interesting, it was a shame to see G-B disappear as they did some great stuff and their customer service was top notch. I will certainly keep an eye out for his new stuff. Quote
CamdenRob Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) This is good news... I had a ShuttleMax 12.2 for a while and it sounded excellent, had lovely notched dials as well, felt like a well designed and decent quality product so hopefully we'll be seing more of the same soon Edited July 9, 2015 by CamdenRob Quote
Musicman20 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Great news. Some of my favourite amps are GB amps, and I love their cab designs. I hope someone like Bass Gear or Bass Direct (or both!) are onto this and set up direct distribution. I always wanted a Shuttle 3.0 10T combo and never picked one up in time. I hope something similar comes out! Quote
HowieBass Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 This ought to make a lot of bass players very happy! Quote
Andytre Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 i use a shuttle max12.2 and 2x focus 1x12s best rig iv ever had! cant wait to see what new stuff will appear! Quote
fretmeister Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I sold my Shuttle 9.2 but my Streamliner isn't going anywhere. I really hope this works out for Jeff, his products are brilliant. I'm also hoping he does some new small combos - a Streamliner type into a 1x12 with a built in compressor would be perfect for me! Quote
Badass Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Great news! Looking forward to his new generation of gear. Quote
HazBeen Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Great amps, hope it works out. Fender absolutely annihilated GB within a few years.... as they did with Ovation, Hamer, Sabian and SWR. I understand GB perhaps will return under new management/ownership and Jeff Genzler (like Dan Lakin before him) apparently is working on some great stuff. Yeah to the small business model and down with corporately run "music" Quote
Stylon Pilson Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) Keep this hush hush, but I'm a moderator at reddit.com/r/bass and I've had contact from his marketing agency about doing an AMA (ask me anything). So start getting your questions ready. S.P. Edited July 9, 2015 by Stylon Pilson Quote
mingsta Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Great news. Gb made great kit. I have two heads and three cabs Quote
Thunderpaws Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Hope he resurrects the Focus range of cabs. I need another to go with my Streamliner. Quote
Badass Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Pictures of new cabs here: https://www.facebook.com/genzleramplification/photos_stream?ref=page_internal Quote
Kiwi Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 This is welcome news. I have two Shuttle 6.0's and have not really needed anything else since. Reliable, sound great, hugely portable...everything else in the same price bracket seems either a copy or inferior. Quote

Guest bassman7755 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 The bass array looks interesting, I dont really do the 60's gramophone look though so you can keep the ones on the left. Quote
Merton Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 OMG look at the handles!!!! Ahem, sorry. Not a fan of the looks myself. More importantly interested to hear BFM's views on the Bass Array cab - it reminds me a bit of some of his designs Quote
Badass Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Anyone know if there are any new heads coming? Quote
