I'm just watching Noel Gallagher's set. His bass player's tone is rather lovely. Fender P bass through a Fender 810 (mic'ed not DI). Niiiiiiice.

I'm enjoying it. I haven't listened to much of his music before. (apart from the obvious Oasis hits). No particular reason, it just sort of passed me by. But I'm enjoying this set.

I thought the Prodigy were awesome - fantastic in your face set and great lightshow. The whole place was rocking.
And I don't really like dance music much........
And re Noel - Mancs trying to be grumpy and sarcy just irritate me. Seen it all before many times. Sorry, not being Mancist

I was at it this weekend, played it on the Friday. Our show was a bit empty, or atleast felt it.. Probably 100+ people, but the tent was a decent size.

Anyways I saw some immense bands and the atmosphere was great. It's gad alot if critics this year, mainly by people who wasn't there, bit it was great fun! Guy did die though, so not so good. The toilets are atrocious though, dunno how I'd feel about the whole experience if I couldn't must nip behind the scenes to use the clean toilets!

Yes I thought they were great too. But I wanted to see THEM rocking, not a plethora of annoying blonde bimbos, and the backs of peoples heads. If I'd wanted to get glimpses of them through a massive crowd I could have gone to the event itself.

And then when they do show you what's actually happening on the stage, you get a close-up of the drummers left ear or something. I really hate unnecessary close- ups when you want to see the whole band.

Same with close ups of dancer's feet or individual flowers at the Chelsea Flower show. Let's have the whole picture!

I need another lie-down now!

Just one of those bands I will never 'get'. Their Glasto set was terrible. Though I do like their new song... very Clash.

For a festival slot I thought Noel G was good. I like the TV mix as well..bass sounded great.
When you have a set-up like that with a few killer songs...and Noel G does have a few real killers, you can't really fail, tbh.

Do they have dancers at the CFS now?

Noel G was the best bit for me. The guy has so many songs that he can pull out that were hits, perfect for a festival. Decent band as well.
