Machines
Bet that sounds fat. My L-2000 mostly gets used on the neck alone.
Emanew
Bet that sounds fat. My L-2000 mostly gets used on the neck alone.
This Bass gives a special sound. It comes from Leo's PU, ebony fingerboard and mahogamy body i supposed. I am not a Precision tone lover but i must admit that instrument has something. I wish i could find a L2000E. Maple neck. Yours is here ?

Machines
I want to try an M series to see what they're like compared to the L2000. Wouldn't ever change it though.

scalpy
A student of mine turned up with the new M series. It's a lot of bass for the money, with a really easy neck and is more refined than the old L series/ASAT preamp, but... no GAS, the ASAT still takes some beating! Machines
I'd not get both, I like too much diversity in my gear to have the same bass just with a different preamp. Would like the chance to A/B though.

Graham
I want to try an M series to see what they're like compared to the L2000. Wouldn't ever change it though.
Same, the pre-amp's supposed to be pretty good and the pickups have a slightly different voicing so would like to see how they compare. Though, TBH, I normally run my L2000 passive anyway.
No, the El Toro has a slightly narrower body, but the neck of an L2000e could fit in an El Toro body and vice-versa! The neck pockets are identical on both models.
