This one:
Dave Brubeck, Blue Rondo a la turk

https://youtu.be/vKNZqM0d-xo

I first heard it on Ken Burns' documentary when it was first aired, I went out and found it as soon as I could.
I only just remembered it when I was thinking about which tracks I could suggest for this topic so now I've bought the piano music and I'm slaving away at it.
The main riff is far from difficult and a pleasure to play.

The first time I heard Om I listened to the album constantly for a week

When I read 'Om', for a split second I thought you might be referring to this

A friend introduced me to this last week, I'd been blissfully unaware of her existence until then. The voice, the piano, the rhythm, and Roger Carey's sound is beautiful to me. Not generally my genre, so it may be through my ignorance, but it ticks every box for me.

(There's a couple of minutes of interview before the song, that you may want to skip)

No link I'm afraid. It didn't stop me breathing, but did stop me playing tonsil hockey with a young lady. She wasn't too pleased as I recall. I went and bought the album the next day, never saw her again :)

Crossing the Corpus Calloseum from the album Marc Johnson's Bass Desires.

A maHOOsive +1 for pretty much anything by Liane Carroll.. first time I saw her was on spec at Wakefield Jazz - of course they were saying good things about her, and on walking in I suppressed a slight disappointment at seeing an electric bass propped up at the back.
One of THE best gigs I've ever been to, and as you say, NickD, Roger Carey has an amazing sound and lyrical quality to his playing. Liane seems to be a Tom Waits fan, too, so there's an extra plus point for me.

It's been a journey.

This started me off - "A that's what I want moment" -

Then the first Aaahhh, yea, nice, moment -

Older and a little greyer gave me this and the first tingle -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cd52NfJIfY8
- It's very long but worth it.

graduation to the second tingle - thanks youtube -

- ignore the moments of background chat, just look at the players face at the end....

and lastly the nirvana of tingle, with tears in the eyes -

"Hiroshima Nagasaki Russian Roulette" by Moving Hearts stopped me in my tracks.. I'd heard a few people rave about them to the extant I thought it was hype.
The whole album is brilliant to this day, with amazing interplay between pipes, guitar and sax.
Eoghan O'Neill on bass.. went on to be in Van Morrison's band, also has played with many in the upper echelon of the Irish scene.

Great album. First time I've heard them mentioned anywhere for ages.

Totally off my normal radar. Not just because it makes me think of the film.

Jesse Winchester writes some beautiful and poignant songs. There are several that can stop you in your tracks, but I've chosen this one.
