Hi All!

So, after many years of looking at Bass players in Gigs and wishing I could play, I have finally bought myself a Squier Fender MB-4 and Hartke amp.
I have two friends who are going to teach me the basics in different styles of music and I have the world wide at my fingertips and Denmark Street but a short walk from my office - for all the books I could need.
I am reading up on how to read music [I learnt as a child but that was a rather long time ago ] and have had a few plucks and investigations of my Bass for sounds and such.

As you can all see, I am a total newbie and would appreciate all the help you can give me. Your reccomended views, sites and where to start!

Welcome to BC. I'm sure you'll find all the info you need here plus you'll probably get a nasty dose of GAS
