The Noel thing has been done before, I find him entertaining, love or hate him, he's a clever guy who came from a humble background and went for his dream.

Am I seeing a different guy to everyone else?

I cannot stand the man... I'm indifferent to his music but as a person he comes across as a prize bell end.

I get that impression about his brother. I dont mind Noel, he has at least some talent.

Only time I've ever listened to a word come out of his mouth and didnt think "twunt", shows him in a rather different light actually...

Still can't staand Oasis though ;)

Whatever the thoughts on Noel, his band(s), in particular Oasis, have influenced a generation and will continue to. I remember growing up listening to Nirvana and more punk orientated music, but I have always thought Oasis are/were brilliant.

I think he is a funny guy. Loved Oasis and like NGHFBs. Their performance on T in the park was great. Each to his own I guess. Didn't catch the Radio 4 show but am interested to hear what his choices were? assume The Smiths were included?

Give it a go Rob. Listen to him talk about his upbringing, drink/drugs....his wife, song at his wedding , kids. Great attitude I thought.
Still can't stand him, then fair enough.

I listened to the Radio4 programme, I decided it was good.

Noel, he seems a decent sort really. From what he's said in interviews he seems very grateful to the people who've bought and liked his songwriting.

Liam I can tolerate when noise, of any sort, isn't emanating from his oral cavity.

I think he's written some great songs, but I wouldn't listen to them. I don't really know why people think he's an arse, but it's probably justified. I caught most of this program while I was in the car and I thought he came across as really nice and quite clever
