kodiakblair Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I spotted this on Friday and at £100 knew it was a bargain. 84 Fury with slanted SF pickup and oddly a rosewood fretboard. I've only really seen these with maple before though I think Flat Eric might have one, fella has everything else Damn fine P bass with a slightly narrower neck than the T-20,infact I found very little difference between the two. Same story with my early 90's Fury.Does everything a P bass should just with that wee bit more kick. And I'd be kicking myself if I'd passed on it Quote
chrismuzz Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 (edited) I always hated the look of the slanty pickups but it looks gorgeous on this. Great find!! If you get bored of it, let me know Edited July 20, 2015 by chrismuzz Quote
cocco Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Wow. I'm dying to get my hands on something with a super ferrite in it. Quote

I had two Fury's - both red - the earlier type, not the same as the one you show. These: http://flatericbassandguitar.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/peavey-fury-bass.html The Super Ferrites are truly great pick-ups. I have them in Foundation basses - plenty of tone, brightness and punch. Nice! These are my Foundations: http://flatericbassandguitar.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/fender-jazz-and-peavey-foundation.html http://flatericbassandguitar.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/peavey-foundation-line-around-head.html http://flatericbassandguitar.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/peavey-foundation-roger-glover-ritchie.html I think you win this time squire. . . . . . Never had one that you have. Just a thought. . . . . are you aming to get every bass that Peavey made?? If we are talking about the 70's to 80's, I think you have almost cracked it! Top job, that man! Cheers. Quote
kodiakblair Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Cheers Flat Eric. This fella's a " Line around the Head " model too from 84. I was having trouble ID'ing bits such as the bridge,it's different to the 3 Foundations then I saw your white Foundation. That's the bridge, big round saddles same as the T-20. If I'm going for the full set there's few still to go ,mainly from the 90's, No Axcelerator,B-Quad,TL,Sarzo or Unity as yet Then there's stuff like the Randy Jackson,Jeff Berlin Palladium and the Jack Daniels bass.Oh and I've no fretless Peaveys. It a strange thing I prefer my Foundations with the VFLs to my Super Ferrite Foundation, nothing to compare the Dyna with . Quote
Jono Bolton Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 That's a belter Davie, more pics please! is that the original case too? That asymmetrical bridge is the same as the one on my Foundation, the saddles are ridiculous! Quote
