troubadour Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Hi I've been lurking here for a while and been impressed with the helpful and encouraging responses everyone invariably gets to their posts. So I've plucked up courage to register myself. I've been out of bass-playing action for almost 7 years, a combination of breaking my arm in a bizarre dog-walking accident, losing my permanent job and having to contract away from home. Things have settled down now on both fronts and I've recently joined a soul/funk band playing not all the usual stuff. Really great fun and a friendly bunch. I'm enjoying playing as much as I ever have. I do have one issue though, my basses are now too heavy for me. They all weigh in at the just over 9lbs (just over 4kg) mark. I can see I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the Market Place! Quote

Dad3353 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 (edited) Good evening, Troubadour, and ... [sharedmedia=core:attachments:167528] Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. Bass weight an issue..? You may want to look at some hollow or semi-hollow basses..? Some folks actually prefer them..! Edited July 20, 2015 by Dad3353 Quote
